James Brown: Please, Please, Pleeeease.. and Nomore Trivial Status Updates

I never care about facebook or twitter status updates and honestly they annoy the crap out of me. I ask, why should I be told when someone is rubbing his eye, waiting for a bus, shagging, sitting in table number 12 in so and so restaurant, and the list goes on bloated with less than trivial information. But tonight I realized status updates can produce a climactic and sacred experience when used wisely. I read a status update on facebook from an old friend aka known on raioo as Abu Hourayra. He said he was listening to James Brown's I git ants in my pants. As an avid lover of James Brown, I immediately resurrected him on a youtube video and enjoyed the song. Then I moved on to the next song, and next song until I finally got to one of my all time favorites. The song that James Brown always ended his concerts with, where his assistant or manager comes in to cover him with the King's Bernouss, James would then take it off unwilling to leave his fans. The song is called Please, Please, Pleeeeeease! This was the time when solid American music was in the making. This was a song playing through the veins of James Brown and under a slow time beat emphasizing the difficulty of an artist leaving his beloved fans. Enjoy!

And why should we care if someone is watching James B. and he is enjoying it? ” just joking… I share your feeling about table #12, but I would rather ask for more juicy details when it comes to shagging update:-). These updates are the best; I don’t get enough of them though!
Bro, FB is like a screwdriver, it is a tool! And a tool you make of it what you want: You poke your finger or you poke your “so-called” friend. If someone is happy to report that he is happy shagging, so be it! If others are happy having small "wall" talk about their daily boring routines, good for them! Even worse, some “pathetic” people, like me, are using it to talk not about themselves but to themselves…. Go figure!
Along with many others like Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Bobby Byrd, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, etc, James Brown reminds me of my youth, I love every single thing he did, he was a master, his music and rhythm is for the soul... like in I've got the feeling..or get off of that thing it won’t do you any better...listen to the drums goodness he was good may God bless soul.
As for status updates... or even face book is one of those idea that are stupid but are changing the world. They are changing the way we think or do business, those stupid little idea are shaking the foundation of the way things were for the past 2000 years. The economical system is collapsing under our feet while we speak and such collapse is not because the economy is that bad but it won’t work for this or the next generation... I have access to Music now like I never did before in all my half century or so I've been around. and it's all for free all I have to have is a connection... that's a new way of doing business and making money and the old school folks don't get it yet.. The generation of face book are the one who elected the first Black President... he used to update his status I was told. Wake up people it's a new era.
