Government Motors Propaganda, But Still Better Than McCain

Can GM really compete with Japanese and German cars? Who needs big ugly thirsty cars anymore? What's going on? Do I have to go over there and bitch slap GM executives and Obama? Why is Obama backing GM? Yea Yeah, he says the auto industry is a huge pillar of the American economy, and that letting it collapse will be an anti-stimulus to the economy. I usually nod my head whenever Obama speaks, he is like a magician to me, so I tend to agree and believe everything he says. But, I have to ask myself the question: How true is his statement? how much devastation will it really cause? I'm no GM expert, but I smell burning smoky tires. But, what the heck, let America give America a second chance. This is a pretty historic moment seeing GM completely admitting failure in all its dark shades, and begging for a second chance. They better make the best car next year and sell half price as a Thank You. Gosh how much I hate execs making over a Million dollars a year.
Having said that about Obama, he's still a good man, and we, Arabs, Muslims or whatever the new combo word is for us, we are lucky that McCain got the boot. Why? You've probably seen this, but I'll show it again. It's a classic dark moment in McCain's compaign brilliantly clarified and exposed by Ben Aflek. Check out what McCain said, and get the analysis from Ben.

Exactly! I totally agree with you when you said "companies who cannot change accordingly are doomed to extinction". GM should have been left alone. The unfortunate employees of GM will eventually find their ways into the fabric of American workplace, if not at another automaker, then another electrical, electronic, mechanical or clerical place. I really don't get why the government bails private companies and homeowners using taxpayers money and their children and grandchildren tax money.
Has this ever happened in Morocco out of curiosity?
How would the Moroccan government deal with such a thing if it ever happened. Say Itissalat Al-Maghrib (Maroc Telecom) is going downhill, or the largest Moroccan insurance company (I'm totally ignorant about who's who in Morocco so if you know company names let me know) say ONA (although that's such a bad example because ONA is mostly owned by the Royals).
Yesterday GM sold Hummer car brand to China, and it will baptise it under the baraka of yin and yang, and convert it into Confucius-butt size vehicle, and probably will sell it back to the US market and elsewhere at affordable prices.
I do not buy the argument that a private company should be back up at all costs (if at all !), just because it is a symbol of national pride. I suspect that Obama's buddies are board members of GM, and they don't want to see their fortunes evaporate.
For economic, environmental and political reasons, the consumer's attitude is changing worldwide; people want to avoid necessary costs, because it is intelligent, humane, and cost effective. Companies who can not change accordingly are doomed to extinction.
