Touche Po a Mon Zidane!
05:27:59 PM Wednesday Jul 12, 2006

I hope Zidane's mother is doing well, and wish her best recovery.

The man is a ball genius, but he is also a sensitive being, who always preferred action than words. Beautiful actions, he had many (on fields and in life). Regrettable gestures, he had some of it. It is on such a gesture that he left us. He missed his exit, you would probably tell me? Admittedly, but he succeeded in enchanting us and making us dream all throughout his football years. I first fell in love with the phenomenon in early 90s as I watched European clubs.

At the end, Nobody deserves to suffer silently no matter what the time, place or audience. One day, and if the Italian kid has an iota of sportsmanship in him, He will come and apologize to You. You're the nobler one.

For everyone that loves you and watched the violence wearing justice, we're all touched, shocked Yet stand by you. You became more than an idol, and will remain forever the FRIEND of many. THANK YOU ZIZOU, and good road ahead.

...Thanks to Zidane, we have a new way to resolve issues this summer!

Usually people like him, like Benazzi, get into charitable and social work. Both are good friends and will most likely do something together on the side. I'm starting to sound like a paparazzi reporter..!

Peace and love f had nhar dial ljoumou3a...

Zidane, I shaved my head the same :) I can't explain why, but it just happened, I turned on the machine, it clicked, and within minutes I felt great! Because of Zidane, I played tennis yesterday, something I was postponing week after week. Ahh! the power of athletes like you said.

ps: l3attar bouguenbar hehehe that made me laugh too!

this is what makes me have a lot of sympathy for dear zizou and so many famous athletes and stars. they are just normal humans like us, but they are under so much more stress and pressure than we can imagine. just the idea of people questioning or attacking zizou's identity and allegiance and wanting to exploit his image and impose on him a cultural or religious or political stamp that he did not himself publicly announce is really harsh and unfair. he's just an ordinary guy with a special skill on the football field, and in the end I hope he'll find some peace and privacy and a break from all the pressure, just to live his own life with his family and sons. try to imagine yourself in his shoes just for 1 day, just try to understand.
and yes, it is "zizou" as a sign of affection and admiration. regardless of what anyone thinks, the truth is that he inspired so many young people of all nationalities and colors and backgrounds. that's not because of his money or age or looks, but like many other inspirational athletes it's his amazing talent on the field, and his drive and determination to succeed, something a lot of youth really need to motivate them.

Wa Malkom a haklin Ryouss Tleftou malkom ? I thought you were better than this .

Koun kan Zidane Maghribi, korrak douR fel 9hawi wetzaghret !
Of course, you would say. No, no way, I am sure of my self and blabla... yam rebbi kolha kif-kif, et un vrai homme with moushtaJ n'a pas besoin d'admirer qui que ce soit (a part L3ettar bien sure) . does he have moustashe by the way ?

I guess with your exotic uncheakable thoughts you are able to freeze the universe, except that the universe doesn't know that.

Cheep up ;-)

After the match, players do indeed exchange their shirts.
There is no 3ya9a in what Zidane said, and if you think that as a response he deserves to have his family insulted, then as a response to that, Materazzi deserves a head-butt .
As you can see, your logic of endless escalation leads to nothing but a typical Moroccan court house .
Having said that, Zidane is one of the greatest, even if he would have stayed home playing Dama during that day.

As for calling him Zizi, that is a street talk that should be kept in the street ...

You want a man of his caliber to get graphic and describe in details (Like the Moroccans do during a street fight !) the meaning of the insults, infront of his family and the whole world . (adults and minors!) .

Don't forget, you are not Zidane, so let the man be what he is, and save your "Fraja" speech until you become a football star yourself .

Assi RainaSpirit, it's zizou and not zizzi :) and there is nothing wrong with number 2. it was a normal witty response. You're right about the calculated response of Zidane, if I were in his shoes I would get the same help from the professionals. Anyways, the guy is so frigging young and filthy rich, he's so content inside, has got a long life, in theory, to live and put football in the background. Let's go back to our real lives.. take trash bin outside, hurry outside to buy milk or baguette because the wife is yelling: Lunch is Ready.. baguette still missing!!!!

That clip is silly and sarcastic true, and there are hundreds of them out there, but it's time the storm blew away, and skies cleared. Zidane is one of my heores, and even if people choose to remember him for a flawed individual rather than a shining example I am sure he won't have a problem with that. There's an awesome cheerful song going around called Coup de Boule by La Plage, it made me laugh in the middle of sadness. And it's just nice to see people support Zidane in anyway they can improvise. At the end, The man after all has reached the summum of what he wanted to reach in football, and walked away with enough cash, sponsorships, young age, and dignity, every athlete wished he had.

that last video is mean and sarcastic adnane, take it off pls. if someone had insulted your mother and sister or any of my family as Zizou described the other player's insults, over and over, don't tell me you wouldn't have been hurt and reacted one way or another? hell knows I would've given the dude a hell of a lot more than one head slam. Zizou stood up for the honor and name of his women and his family, and *that* is what should be remembered.
